Option 1: Download via PC / Mac

1. What you need to install

Here is the hardware and software that you need in order to install Voice4u:

• iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad: Voice4u is compatible with iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone devices, including the second generation iPod touch (with built-in speaker), the third generation iPod touch (with built-in speaker and microphone) the first generation iPhone, the second generation iPhone (iPhone 3G) and the third generation iPhone (iPhone 3Gs).

  You can purchase an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad at a local Apple store near you, or an Apple’s online store: http://store.apple.com/us. To find out a store near you, please try the Apple Store Locator: http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/.

• External Microphone: The second generation iPod Touch require an external microphone to record audio. The third generation iPod Touch comes with a microphone. For example, Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic.
• Digital Camera: All iPod Touch users (except the 4th generation) must capture graphics from an external camera (digital camera) and upload them to your PC or Mac via iTunes. Alternatively, you can draw graphics by hand or drawing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and copy them to your device.
• PC (Windows) or Mac: You need a computer to manage your device. We support Windows and Macintosh.
• iTunes: iTunes is a FREE application for your Windows or Mac. It organizes your iPhone applications on your computer. iTunes is available at Apple’s website: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. If you are new to iTunes, Apple has video tutorials: http://www.apple.com/itunes/how-to/
• Browser: We support Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or higher), Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome. We strongly recommend to to use the latest version of browser for your rich experience. Such as, Internet Explorer 8 (PC), Firefox (PC or Mac), Google Chrome (PC or Mac), Safari (PC or Mac)

2. Log on to App Store

Now we will show you how to actually download Voice4u on your device. Click App Store button in the top of this website, or click the button below:

This will launch your iTunes and take you to the Voice4u app site. So, please don’t surprise when iTunes window pops up!

** Caution **

If you are buying an iPhone app for the first time, your browser may pop up a small window like this. Just click “Launch Application” (or “OK”. The dialog varies by browser.).

3. Click Buy App Button

After a few seconds, you are on the App Store and seeing a page like this.

Click the Buy App button.

Then, you are asked to put you Apple Account in the dialog box. Please put yours in the box. Voice4u starts downloading (please wait for a while until the download is completed). If you don’t have an account yet, click “Create New Account”. In the next step, we will show you how to create Apple Account.

4. Create New Apple Account

If you clicked “Create New Account”, click “Continue”.

You need to agree with Apple’s Terms and Conditions.

First, put your email address and your secret password. You’ll use these to download Voice4u, other applications, music and videos.

Next, choose your payment method (Credit Card, PayPal) and information associated with your choice.

If you do not have a credit card, you may buy iTunes Gift Card (pre-paid card) at local grocery stores, pharmacy, or department stores. Then, put the redeem code in “iTunes Gift Card and Certificates” box. A code is printed behind a gift card.

Then, click “Continue” and your are done!

5. Begin Downloading

After this page, you are asked to confirm. Voice4u is about 25 MB. So, please be patient until download is complete!

6. Plug the Device

Connect your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to your computer.

7. Sync It!

When iTunes opens, select your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad under Devices in the Source List on the left.

Click “Sync” in the bottom right corner.

Option 2: How to Download Voice4u directly onto Your Device

We will explain how to download Voice4u directly onto your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad without using a computer.

1. Get connected to Wi-Fi

Make sure that your device is connected to Wi-Fi network. To enable Wi-Fi connection, tap the Settings icon and navigate to the Wi-Fi setting. Select a Wi-Fi network you want to connect and type password if prompted.

2. Log-on the App Store

Turn on your device, and tap the App Store icon. (Warning: The App Store icon may be placed in a different area compared to the picture based on your preference.)

3. Find Voice4u on the App Store

When you enter the App Store, tap the “Search” button, which is the button on the bottom row, second from the right. Once you open up the search screen, tap on the white area on the top of the screen that says “Search” in gray letters.

Once you tap the white area, you will open up a keyboard on the bottom half of the screen. Type in “voice4u” using the keyboard. You will get several choices to choose from. Tap “Voice4u” if you want the English version of Voice4u, or tap “Voice4u JP” for the Japanese version of Voice4u.

4. Tap the Buy button

If you are ready to buy voice4u, tap the blue button on the top-right hand side of the screen that has the price written in it. After you tap it, it will transform into a green button that says, “BUY NOW”. Tap the green button. Then, you will be asked to sign with the options, “Use Existing Account” or “Create New Account”.

[A] If you have an Existing Account, tap “Use Existing Account” and type in your user name and password you use for your iTunes account. The device will automatically begin to download once you are able to type in the correct user name and password. Once it finishes downloading, you will be able to use Voice4u from your device.

[B] If you do not have an existing account and wish to create a new one, tap “Create New Account”.

5. Creating a new account

You will then be asked to confirm your country or region of the store that matches your billing address for your payment method. If the country or region is incorrect, tap the name os the country, and you will be able to open up a list where you can scroll to find your country or region. Once you have chosen your country or region, tap the next button on the bottom right corner.

6. Agree with the terms

You will then open up the agreement page. If you agree to the terms and conditions of the iTunes store, tap the “Agree” button on the bottom right of the page. (You will have to scroll down to find it.) Then, a window will pop up saying “I have read and agree to the iTunes Store Terms & Conditions.” Tap “Agree” if you do.

7. Fill in your information

You will then be asked for specific information needed to be able to create a new account. Fill in each area as directed. Once you have done so, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and tap on the next button. You will then be asked for billing information. Type in all of your billing information that is necessary and scroll to the bottom and tap “Next”.

8. Download and Complete

Finally, Voice4u will start downloading. Once it’s done, you will see the Voice4u icon on your screen.
