Voice4u lets you add customized icons to match your needs. You can create icons with single words, sentences or phrases.

iPhone, iPod touch, Android

1. First, tap the “Add” tab at the bottom of the screen.

2. Select an image for your icon. If you are using Voice4u on an iPhone, you may take a photo with the built-in camera, or pick up one out of your photo album. If you use an iPod Touch, you need to put them in your photo library beforehand.

3. Take a picture. Tap “Use” if you are happy with the preview.

4. Tap Next. If you want to change the image, tap “Change image”.

5. Next, record audio to go with the image. Tap the “Record” button on the left side, and speak. You may record up to 10 seconds.

6. Then, tap “Done” to stop recording. You can play the recorded voice by tapping the “Play” button on the right.

7. For iPod Touches (2nd and 3rd generations), please be sure to plug your microphone into your device; otherwise, Voice4u will give you a notification saying “No audio input detected”. If you wish to do, you can actually skip recording and record audio later.

8. Please type words, phrases, or sentences to go with your icon. The keyboard will pop up by tapping the white box.

9. Now, choose an appropriate category. Then, tap “Next”.

10. Finally, confirm your icon. If you are happy with it, Tap “Done” to finalize. Then, ”Item saved!” will appear on the screen. Tap “OK”, or “Discard” If you want to start over.

11. Let’s check your new icon. For this example, you may follow: Category > Things > Ball.
