This video demonstrates how to reorder the icons and categories on the iPad. The same feature is also available for the iPhone and the iPod touch.

iPad

1. Select a category. This tutorial works for any category.

2. Turn on the Edit mode switch and the background becomes dark.

3. Hold the icon that you want to move with one finger and drag it.

4. Turn off the Edit mode switch

Reorder Categories

You can do the same thing for categories! Turn on the Edit switch, and hold the category with one finger. Drag it. Make sure to turn off the Edit switch when you finish moving categories.

iPhone / iPod Touch

1. Select a category. Any category is fine.

2. Turn on the Edit mode switch. Then, hold the far right of the icon that you want to move with one finger and slide up or down.

Make sure to turn off the Edit switch when you finish moving icons.

Reorder Categories

1. You can do the same thing for categories! Let’s try moving “My Icons” category.

2. Turn on the Edit mode switch and hold the far right of the category with one finger. Slide it up or down.

3. Turn off the Edit switch. “My Icons” category was successfully moved.
